Todd Steffy & Phil Schoonmaker
Meet the masters.
A Rays fan and a Yankees fan running a plumbing company together. Meet Todd and Phil—the plumbing masters behind Solders, with a lifetime in the trade and plenty of life outside it.
Founder · Co-owner · Plumbing master
Todd Steffy
Tampa roots. North Country home. Todd moved north in 2010, bringing his love of baseball along for the ride. Plumbing has been his craft his entire adult life, and in 2022 he put that experience into building Solders Plumbing.
Away from the tools, his favorite time is time with his son. The golf course is his happy place, bluegrass is his soundtrack—and he plays it, too, with his band. He’ll happily talk baseball with just about anyone. Just don’t expect this die-hard Rays fan to switch sides.
Co-owner · Plumbing master
Phil Schoonmaker
Phil has spent his life in the plumbing trade, so joining Solders as co-owner in June was a new chapter in a craft he already knew inside and out. He brings a lifetime of hands-on experience to the company and shares the helm with Todd as one of Solders’ plumbing masters.
When the tools are down, Phil is happiest with his family or out enjoying the outdoors. He runs the Chesterfield Fish and Game Club, loves a day of trap shooting or hunting, and proudly holds down the Yankees side of Solders. Taking his little brother to Yankees games is a particular favorite—two of his favorite things, together.

Experience at work.
From water treatment and plumbing repairs to heating, drainage, and excavation, the Solders approach starts with understanding the home’s system and explaining the work clearly.
